ヒラミヤは、板金や塗装、レーザーマーキングを行う金属加工ファクトリー。小ロットの特注品製作を得意とし、発注者のアイデアや要望を立体化、製造する技術者集団である。イグアナアイ･プロジェクトでは、“洞窟をイメージしたパーティション”の製作を担当。アルゴリズムをベースに設計された990枚のパネルは、熟練の職人による手作業で製作された。“イメージの立体化”は、設計ソフトの自動計算だけでは成立しない。Made in Japanを支えてきた職人の技と経験、知恵と情熱が不可欠である。

 

Hiramiya is a metalwork factory specializing in sheet metal and laser material processing. We take our client's ideas and turn them into three-dimensional products. For the iGUANEYE project, each of the 990 panels were designed based on an algorithmic numerical value. While the calculations were made by design software, the panels themselves were formed by an experienced craftsman. We believe that when it comes to industrial products, the skill and passion of Japanese craftsmen are  indispensable elements.
